i arrived at the condo around two o'clock in the morning at the end of my shift. all the girls in the room were asleep (or two of them were, the other one was just pretending). the bedroom was dark except for a bluish spotlight trained on something in the middle of the room.
my nightblindness ensured that i couldn't read the instructions written on two pieces of paper... on the first sheet, the directions told me to unlock the phone hanging on what looked like a camera tripod. and the other one told me to call a number. it took me three tries before i got the phone unlocked since it was a different brand from what i was used to. and i had to turn on the bathroom light to see. when i dialed the number, another phone on top of one of the wardrobe cabinets rang. but the ringtone was a record of the girls singing the birthday song. what a surprise!!!
of course, the loud singing woke up the girls (the two who were asleep, as the other one was quietly observing me, trying hard not to laugh).
